Numerous aerospace components for both fixed wing aircraft and helicopters utilize roll forming. The most common roll formed components in aerospace are stringers and crowns on the aircraft space frames are commonly produced out of aircraft grade aluminum. The rings that separate the stages of jet and turbine engines are roll formed out of stainless steel and super alloys. Additionally the blade edges for helicopters are also roll formed of stainless steel and titanium alloys. Other aerospace parts that are roll formed include the channel for window frames and the seat tracks in passenger planes and commercial jets. Yoder has designed machinery and tooling for all of these applications.
